With each year that passes weddings evolve to become even more unique. Grand exits are a great way to showcase your creativity, but few people give this part of the wedding much thought. I get it, sparkler exits make for absolutely beautiful photos (really, they do!), but as the trend grows increasingly more prevalent here are some fresh alternative ideas to help make your wedding’s grand exit the grand entry into your new life together!
1. Smoke Bomb
No, not a literal smoke bomb that will leave guests wishing for gas masks; a colorful non-toxic smoke bomb! This works best if your grand exit happens while it’s still light out, but this up-and-coming wedding trend is absolutely stunning and is sure to leave a lasting impression for years to come!
2. Glitter Toss
We know what your thinking… glitter gets absolutely everywhere, but hear us out because it’s totally worth it! (Especially because CFEC does the clean up for you!). It’s a special occasion, so why not? How many times will you get married? Risk the mess and use that glitter! Or, you could even use eco-friendly confetti.
3. Lavender Toss
Looking for something that’s a little more zen? Fill paper cones or little bags with dried lavender for guests to throw at your grand exit! It’s pretty and smells heavenly. If you wanted, you could even add your monogram or favorite saying to the cone or bag! (ProTip: For a little extra oomph use other aromatic herbs like dried mint or basil).
Not only will this give your guests a beautiful keepsake, but ribbons make a lovely and whimsical grand exit! This will add a romantic, ethereal element to your wedding photos, and works especially well for spring and summer weddings. To add a personal touch you could even have your names and wedding date printed onto the ribbons so that they double as unique favors as well!
These are just a few of the unique and creative ways to have a grand exit that’s sure to stand out in the minds of your guests! How will you exit your wedding, and open the door into the newest chapter of your lives together?

We love the magnificent nature and the rich history that surrounds our property. One of the hidden jewels of Cypress Creek is the historic Eagle Rock. Eagle Rock is a water made cavern on the heart of Cypress Creek. The Native Americans and Texas Soldiers once used this cave as shelter. It has been said that you can even view smoke markings from fires created centuries ago.
Eagle Rock is located within walking distance from our facility and makes for beautiful photos on your special day.

Thank you so much to The Wimberley Valley Art League for sharing your christmas party with us. It is such an honor to work with such an awesome organization. Here is a littble bit about them:
The Wimberley Valley Art League, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was started over sixteen years ago by a small group of Hill Country artists with common goals. Now it has grown to 130+ members from Wimberley and nearby towns. We promote an interest in and recognition of visual and functional art. We encourage support and appreciation of art, promote learning for its members, and assist in the development of community-wide interest in art.
What a fun night and such a fun group of people. Check them out at www.wimberleyartleague.org
Book your Christmas party with us and we will make it a night you will never forget!
We finally got these beautiful pictures back from our August bride Kelsey! Virginia Ann Photography did an AMAZING job!
From the Bride…..
Eric was born and raised in the Texas Hill Country! He loves exploring the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and working with his hands. He’s known to grow a pretty mean garden. I was born and raised in the Texas Gulf Coast. I love the outdoors, archery, and my pups! I am also prone to giggle fits on a daily basis!
Eric and I met at church. I work in the nursery and my favorite little one happened to be Eric’s one-year-old nephew. Eric’s sister quickly became match maker. We met and I thought it was love at first sight! I fell in love quickly and knew Eric was my future husband. After a long and beautiful date at Lost Maples State Park, Eric realized the feeling was mutual. Over the next year and a half, we became best friends, partners in crime, and rather inseparable. Eric was house hunting before I came into the picture. I joined him on his quest and we ended up buying a quiet piece of property in the hill country. One Friday we went out to the property to what I thought was just another work day, but after dinner by a warm fire Eric led me to our favorite spot under a large oak tree. There was candles everywhere, another fire going, flowers, and wine. Eric embraced me and I could feel his heart racing. I knew this was it! I am pretty sure I said yes before Eric was even done asking! We will forever cherish that sweet spot under the oak tree in our backyard
We wanted a whimsical, bright, and fun wedding! We loved how the natural beauty of Cypress Falls Event Center complimented our outdoorsy personalities. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives! Our ceremony was under a canopy of trees down by Cypress Creek. The natural beauty of the ceremony site allowed us to decorate minimally. The reception was right up the hill in the outdoor veranda.
I wanted to put a lot of personal touches to our reception with marquee lights of our initials, personalized cups, and a beautiful cake topper with our names on it! The highlight of the night was definitely our Float Bar. We wanted to have something fun and different for our quests to enjoy throughout the night. Everyone was busting a move on the dance floor all night! I even showed off some of my moves! The night ended with an enchanting sparkler exit and Eric and I were off to our happily ever after!

Sweet and Simple
Epic and Extravagant
Everyone has a different vision for their wedding. Some want to pull out all the stops for their special day and others believe that love is all they need!
Simple weddings allow for a more intimate connection between you and your guests. These weddings are focused more on conversations and time spent with each other on the wedding day rather than the decor and entertainment. The money you save by not having as much décor can also allow you to go out with a big bang at the end of the night. For example, one of our brides this season decided to end her wedding with a firework show!
Extravagant weddings tend to be more of a party for everyone in attendance. These weddings are focused more on entertaining the guests and keeping the energy up throughout the whole day. Guests are wowed by the decor and floral that goes into elaborate weddings. Most extravagant weddings also have a lot of food choices and a rocking DJ or band for the entertainment. Personalized wedding favors are also a current trend right now for some of the more extravagant weddings. This season we had a bride have multiple favors for her guests to go home after the wedding!
At Cypress Falls, we cater to all kinds of brides. We have had simply weddings where all the bride needed was a few flowers here and there because the natural beauty of our property did the rest of the work. We have also had brides that want to go all out and decorate with family air looms, elaborate floral, and a huge cake. We love all the variety of weddings that happen here and can’t wait for more to come!
We loved having Kadye & Chris share their beautiful April wedding with us. This beautiful West Texas couple created fun moments by having a smore’s booth and a lavender toss. We are thrilled for them both and their families. Congrats!!
