With each year that passes weddings evolve to become even more unique. Grand exits are a great way to showcase your creativity, but few people give this part of the wedding much thought. I get it, sparkler exits make for absolutely beautiful photos (really, they do!), but as the trend grows increasingly more prevalent here are some fresh alternative ideas to help make your wedding’s grand exit the grand entry into your new life together!
1. Smoke Bomb
No, not a literal smoke bomb that will leave guests wishing for gas masks; a colorful non-toxic smoke bomb! This works best if your grand exit happens while it’s still light out, but this up-and-coming wedding trend is absolutely stunning and is sure to leave a lasting impression for years to come!
2. Glitter Toss
We know what your thinking… glitter gets absolutely everywhere, but hear us out because it’s totally worth it! (Especially because CFEC does the clean up for you!). It’s a special occasion, so why not? How many times will you get married? Risk the mess and use that glitter! Or, you could even use eco-friendly confetti.
3. Lavender Toss
Looking for something that’s a little more zen? Fill paper cones or little bags with dried lavender for guests to throw at your grand exit! It’s pretty and smells heavenly. If you wanted, you could even add your monogram or favorite saying to the cone or bag! (ProTip: For a little extra oomph use other aromatic herbs like dried mint or basil).
Not only will this give your guests a beautiful keepsake, but ribbons make a lovely and whimsical grand exit! This will add a romantic, ethereal element to your wedding photos, and works especially well for spring and summer weddings. To add a personal touch you could even have your names and wedding date printed onto the ribbons so that they double as unique favors as well!
These are just a few of the unique and creative ways to have a grand exit that’s sure to stand out in the minds of your guests! How will you exit your wedding, and open the door into the newest chapter of your lives together?

You might have noticed that lately more and more couples are opting to break with tradition and plan their dream day their way; a way that intimately reflects their personality and style in every detail. The ring is no exception. Brides everywhere are looking for unique rings that speak to their lifestyle as well as their personal style without them having to say a word. So without any further adieu here are the top 5 ring trends for 2017 that are calling to the bride (or bride-to-be) in your life! What will she answer?
Something Old Is Something New:
Vintage never goes out of style! There’s something so romantic about bygone eras like the Victorian Era (1800’s) , the Edwardian Period (1901-1914), the Roaring 20’s, and the Art Deco Era (1925-1940). That’s why we’re still absolutely in love with rings made over to 100 years ago! These styles are hallmarked by features like halos of smaller stones around the center stone, intricate filigree, bezel settings, geometric shapes, and sometimes even three center stones as opposed to just one!
Traditional With A Twist:
Everyone loves a good classic! From Breakfast at Tiffany’s and pearls to LBD’s these styles have been a constant for a reason; they’re feminine, modest, and sophisticated. We love these styles because they’ve endured the test of time on our mothers and grandmothers hands. There is something both nostalgic and comforting about knowing we’re following in the footsteps of some of the most important women in our lives. Try making the style your own with a little twist such as a pearl for the center stone, or flipping an emerald cut or pear shaped stone on it’s side!
Sometimes you just feel like mixing it up, and you’re definitely not alone! More and more couples are not only mixing combinations of metals such as Yellow Gold and White Gold, but styles as well. If that’s not quite your style then you’re in lucky because we’re also totally obsessed with halo bands! They’re great for pear and marquee shaped stones because they hug them close while adding yet another unique layer to your love story. We love that mixing and matching styles sends visual interest into overdrive and accents a playful and artistic personality!
Growing up, whether from their parents or Madonna, every girl hears “diamonds are a girls best friend”, but are they really? Between the growing awareness of conflict regions, and the eco-friendly green movement, diamond alternatives are becoming increasingly more popular in the market! Why not consider stones such as Moissanite (silicon carbide) for the center stone? It’s natural properties give it more fire than diamonds and make it stronger than other stones such as sapphires, rubies, and emeralds. We love this option because not only is it eco-friendly, but it’s also budget friendly as well!
Color Outside The Lines:
Speaking of diamond alternatives, we (along with everyone else) seem to have color on the brain! Ever since Prince William gave Kate Middleton his mothers famous sapphire ring (oh, my heart!) there has been a rise a definite rise in colored center stones replacing the traditional diamond. We love that this trend is becoming a more widely available option because it allows for maximum personalization. Whether a birthstone, or a favorite color, a bride can opt for a show stopping center stone (or accent stones) that really let her personality shine!
Come see us at the 2016 Bridal Extravaganza this weekend. Cypress Falls is not your typical venue and we always go back and forth on whether or not we should attend the Bridal Extravaganza, but there is just something about getting together with other vendors in the industry that just elevates our excitement for the upcoming season. And for our clients this event is very helpful in providing a one stop shop for them to get great deals and meet vendors face to face.

Our June 6th weekend was full of family, friends, and kiddos. Sarah’s theme of ribbons and pastels was so whimsical. From the barefoot ceremony to the ribbons and bell’s grand exit, this wedding encompassed a sort of new age for of renaissance. Congratulations to Sarah and Luis! May your marriage be full of love and compassion for one another.
We are in love with last weeks wedding. Ruthy and Paul brought so much color and love into our lives here at Cypress Falls. With vibrant colors and fun pennant banners this bride was able to transform our venue into a Bohemian Moroccan Dreamland.

Alexis & Nate’s Speakeasy Wedding had everyone time warp to the 1920’s. With kazoo’s, tuba’s, and tattoo’s it was definitely a night to remember. This couple fell in love with Cypress Falls the second they stepped foot on our property, it reminded Nate of his summers in Minnesota! They were so sweet and we have nothing but amazing things to say about their wonderful families and friends. Thank you so much for choosing us and we wish you many years of happiness together.
